Understanding Scale

In the world of collectible figures, scale refers to the ratio of the figure's size to the actual or conceptual size of the character it represents. A "1/x" scale means the figure is 1 unit of size for every X units of the real size. For instance, a 1/1 scale figure would be life-size, and a 1/12 scale figure is twelve times smaller than the character.

1/10 scale is a common scale for figures, particularly for certain types of releases like prize figures, trading figures sold in larger sizes, or specific lines that prioritize a slightly smaller footprint or lower price point than the prevalent 1/7 or 1/8 scales.
